The fact that the USA is not keen on having the European online casinos offering services in the United States is not deterring attempts in the reversed scenario. According to reports circulating on the online gambling industry, some of the big Las Vegas players are already eyeing the online casino market in Europe. Harrah's is one of the big names mentioned that could soon test the gambling waters in Europe by creating an online casino that would serve players from the EU. Of course, USA players are out of the question for the land-based gambling giant, but the hypocrisy in the US-EU business relations is clear. MGM is another Las Vegas casino company that got its feet wet in the EU online gambling market, although its attempts were unsuccessful.
Meanwhile the offshore online casinos are still having a hard time in their efforts for legalizing online gambling in the United States. Internet gambling is still heavily frowned upon by the American authorities, although no patrons of the online casinos have been prosecuted yet. Still, every now and then the US authorities would seize money from bank accounts related to online gambling websites, mostly sports betting and poker, although online casinos are not out of the question either.
